Hey, friends are you worried about English. You are not feeling self-confident about English. You don’t know how to speak and write.

There is nothing to worry about. Today in this article I am going to discuss these simple steps about how to learn English and have a belief in yourself that you can also master this English language. You can learn it and will be able to speak confidently.

So without wasting any time, let us discuss these simple steps.

Step 1— Purchase a Basic English Grammar Book and start reading it. 

We speak in different languages. Every language has its own charm and flavor. And in any language, there is grammar. If we can know the proper structure and grammar of that particular language, then it will be possible to master it.

To learn anything we must start from zero as if we do not know anything about it. We should consider ourselves as students and we are taking admission to a basic school.

First, we need to purchase a basic grammar book. This can be purchased from any bookstore or shopping site. For example “Wren and Martin” grammar book, Rapidex English course. 

Alphabet: To learn anything we must know what is an alphabet. How does it look? A different language has a different alphabet. There are 26 alphabets in English. They look like this.

 A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.

All are in capital letters. Now if we want to write in small letters it will look like these.

a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z.

So the alphabet looks like these in the English language in the capital and small letter.

Vowel and consonant: a, e, i, o, u is called vowel and rest the are called consonant.

Word: After learning the alphabet now it’s time to convert the alphabet into a word like CAT, RAT, APPLE, MILK, etc. But if we write the word “ATXUYX”, does it make any sense or meaning. So the word is that which has a meaning.

Sentence: After knowing the alphabet and word now we will see how we can convert a word into a sentence. Example: The sun rises in the east. We drink milk in the morning with breakfast. In this way a sentence is formed and which has meaning.

Now there are various sections of grammar in this language. These can be divided into various categories.

• Subject and Predicate 
• A Noun that denotes a name like Rakesh, Suresh, etc. 
• A Pronoun is a word that is used instead of a noun like He, She, They, etc.
• Adjective 
• Verb
• Adverb
• Preposition means like is, under, etc. 
• Conjunction means joining a word. Example “and”, “or”, etc. 
• Interjection means exclamation like “Alas”, Hurrah, etc.
• Articles like “A”, an, The,
• A Number that means Singular and Plural. Example: Dog-Dogs 
• The gender that means Masculine, Feminine, and Common gender. 
• A person that means First Person: I, Second Person: You, Third Person: He, She 
• Tense means Past, Present, and Future.
• Direct and Indirect Speech 
• Active and Passive Voice. We will take a simple example to explain it. It is reversing a sentence. “He did the work”. “The work was done by him”. 
• Punctuation like full stop(.), comma(,) exclamation(!) 

In order to learn English one must know the basic grammar. The best thing will be if we can start reading, grammar books of lower classes and then move to an advanced grammar book.

Step II- The next step is to read a newspaper and start watching a news channel 

Reading Newspaper: 
While reading the newspaper if we find a new word and do not know the meaning of that word, then we can take the help of a dictionary. Various dictionaries are available in the market like “English to Bengali”, or English to Hindi, etc.

Watching News Channel:
The next step is to watch the English News channel. How an anchor is speaking in English? In what style they are speaking. What is the pronunciation? How confident they are speaking? The only goal of watching a news channel is to increase our self-confidence about how can we speak English in our own way by watching them.

Step 3 – Develop a writing habit 

Now, after learning grammar and reading newspapers and watching news channel it’s time to develop a writing habit.

Writing Habit 
Now, what will we write? The thing that is coming to our mind. What we do in a whole day. If we can write that entire thing in a piece of white paper in our local language like Hindi or in any language and convert that into English, then that will be the best thing. After writing, then we can check the grammar.

So by doing in this way, self-confidence will develop and all the fear will go out of our mind.

So these are the three basic steps by which we can learn English. There are also many ways to learn. As we live in a world of smartphones and the internet. Google is our best friend. Whatever question we will ask him, he will display all the results and answer all our questions.

So nothing is impossible in this world. The main thing is to have a belief in ourselves and a strong determination to learn anything.
